Living The Basics

Simple and Resourceful Living

I have to brag on someone else for a minute.

I have been reading page after page of ideas for living simply and one of the main ideas over and over again is saving money.  Many of us have not reached it yet, but the idea behind this lifestyle is to remove yourself from the rat race and the never ending money in, money out of society and have more of a role in just living!

I found something recently that is too good not to share.  Victoria of A Modern Homestead spends less than $200 a month to feed her family of 3 a healthy, organic, grass-fed diet!

If you are like me, this sounds too good to be true.  After all, to feed my family a healthy diet from the grocery store costs me $600+ every month.  I was skeptical at first, but the price was low enough that I figured it was worth a shot since we now only have a single income.  It has been amazing.

If you read our other posts, you will see that we have not yet reached our dream goal and still rely on modern convenience and cannot currently grow or raise enough to entirely support ourselves.  Victoria has done the hard part though, and put this amazing information together and made it available to everyone. These aren’t just tips, she has put together spreadsheets and done the math so you don’t have to. This has helped us take the steps toward our goal and save some real money.

In Victoria’s money saving worksheets, you will find:

A quick start section with a way to implement right away, including a meal plan.

Worksheets that are made with every situation in mind and can be applied to your family and the products you use.

Information on how to use these, how to shop and plan, and how to implement these buying what you like.

You can eat what you like, at a fraction of the cost, with no coupons!

What are you buying?  This is an ebook that includes printable worksheets and all you need to put them to use.  You may be able to do this yourself, but if you are like me, with little extra time, this is the easiest and fastest way to start saving money.  There is no guess work, it is all set out for you, plus, it’s less than $10.  You will save that in your first shopping trip!
